By booking a session or using the Ctrl Snap website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia.

Nature of the Service

Ctrl Snap is a self-service photo studio. No photographer is provided. Clients operate the equipment independently.

Responsibility

Clients are fully responsible for:

  • Using the equipment correctly

  • Their own poses, settings, and results

  • Any damage caused by misuse of studio equipment

Ctrl Snap is not responsible for unsatisfactory results due to user error.

Session Timing

  • Sessions begin and end at the booked time

  • Late arrival results in a shortened session

  • Extensions are not guaranteed, especially during busy periods

Deliverables

  • Photos are delivered as JPEG files only

  • RAW files are not provided

  • Delivery occurs within 24 hours (exact timing not guaranteed)

Studio Rules & Damage Policy

By using the Ctrl Snap studio, you agree to follow all studio rules and accept responsibility for any damage caused during your session.

Studio Use Rules

  • Please treat the studio, equipment, and props with care

  • No paints, liquids, or substances are permitted on the backdrop or mirror

  • Only approved studio equipment and listed props may be used

  • Maximum of 8 people per session

  • One backdrop per session

  • Pets are allowed but must remain under control at all times

Damage Fees

The following fees may apply if damage occurs during your session:

  • Backdrop damage (including tears or stains on the wall-facing area): $50

  • Mirror damage (including scratches, cracks, or chips): $1,000

  • Damaged props (including broken, scratched, deflated, or torn items): replacement cost may apply

Ctrl Snap reserves the right to charge the card on file for repair or replacement costs resulting from damage caused during a session.

Use of Space

Clients may use the studio for photography or video purposes but must bring their own equipment. Ctrl Snap provides the space and listed equipment only.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates purchased from Ctrl Snap are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash. Gift certificates are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase, in accordance with applicable law. They may be used toward any eligible Ctrl Snap session and are subject to availability. Gift certificates cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts unless explicitly stated. Lost or stolen gift certificates cannot be replaced and should be treated like cash.

Limitation of Liability

Ctrl Snap is not liable for:

  • Personal injury

  • Lost or damaged personal belongings

  • Dissatisfaction with photo results

  • Technical issues outside of our control

Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations or interruptions due to events beyond our control, including power outages, emergencies, or natural disasters.
